We’re looking for dedicated Snuggle Bug team members who are flexible, hardworking, and passionate about cats and customer service. Candidates must be at least 20 years old with their own reliable transportation. This role is ideal for retirees, stay-at-home parents, or anyone looking to supplement their income around a full-time job (we do not guarantee hours). Why This Job Might Not Be For You

  • There are no guaranteed hours, and your schedule will change from week to week

  • We go to the client’s homes, so you will be expected to drive your own vehicle to each pet sit 

  • We do not cancel or reschedule pet sits, so once you accept an assignment you will be expected to complete it

 

Requirements

  • You need to be a dedicated and knowledgeable cat lover, and you should enjoy spending time with them

  • You must be willing to work with all kinds of cats (kittens, adults, seniors, special needs) and learn how to properly care for them

  • You need to be punctual and follow through on your responsibilities

  • You should be comfortable working independently with little supervision while maintaining a high standard of care and professionalism

  • You must be at least 20 years old and be able to pass a federal background check

  • You need a driver’s license with your own reliable transportation and be comfortable driving in all types of weather

  • You need to have a smartphone and be able to use multiple apps to communicate with management and clients, manage your availability, and track hours worked

  • You should have another source of income as this job does not guarantee any hours and is meant to be supplemental income

 

Schedule

We provide cat sitting services 7 days a week, 365 days a year to clients who travel. The schedule can vary day to day and week to week, so flexibility and dependability are required. If you’re someone who can adapt quickly and enjoys a job that changes from day to day, this could be a great fit.

 

  • We are hiring for the following shifts both weekdays and weekends: 

    • Mornings: 6- 10 am

    • Afternoons: 3-7 pm

 

The hours are approximate and will vary based on client needs. 

 

  • Preference will be given to candidates who have open availability at least one weekend (both Saturday and Sunday) each month. 

 

Location

  • Most of our clients reside in the following zip codes of Greensboro: 27410 and 27407. Candidates should live within 5 miles of either of these zip codes to allow for more efficient scheduling and responsiveness to client needs.

  • Starting pay is $14.00/hour after training is completed

Job Description

  • Providing care to cats: feeding per client instructions, scooping litter boxes (which includes monitoring their waste for any abnormalities, tidying the litter box area of any litter scatter, and disposing of the waste properly), administering medications, playtime and enrichment activities, and other tasks as needed (like bringing in mail/ packages, watering household plants, or cleaning up the occasional hairball)

  • Communicating with clients and management through our pet sitting app Time to Pet and Slack

  • Participate as a team member in company training, education, events and programs.

  • Assisting with local marketing efforts in Snuggle Bug’s service area (like putting up flyers around town)

Snuggle Bug Cat Care is a professional cat care company, and our clients depend on us to provide reliable, top-quality service when they’re away from home. This job is more than just snuggling with cats. It includes traveling to client’s home in all types of weather, caring for senior, shy, and special needs cats, frequently bending down to scoop litter boxes, moving heavy bags of cat litter, cleaning up accidents like hairballs, vomit, pee, or poop, and navigating tricky situations like locating a hiding cat or administering medication to a cat who’s having a bad day.

 

We provide a thorough, two-part training program on our policies, pet care standards, and how to respond to unexpected situations. You'll also have support from our admin team when needed. We’re looking for team members who are responsible, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently.
